FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the purpose of the study?

The purpose of the AMP AIM studies is to better understand the cellular makeup of Inflammatory Arthritis and how your cells are affected by these diseases.

What is involved in participating?

If you would like to participate, we will schedule you for a screening visit at one of our study centers to confirm that you are eligible. If you are eligible following screening, you will be enrolled into the study cohort that best aligns with your disease history. At your enrollment visit, you would have a physical exam, complete questionnaires about how you are feeling, and give a blood sample. There are also optional sample collections, including skin, synovial fluid, saliva, stool, and ultrasound imaging. After the enrollment visit, you may have a few in-person follow-up visits, depending on which study you enroll in.

What type of study is this?

This is a cross-sectional and longitudinal study. This means that we will enroll participants into different cohorts based on their disease history and experience, allowing researchers to understand all of the different aspects of inflammatory arthritis over time.

How do I participate?

If you are an adult with a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, or psoriatic arthritis and you live in an area where you can visit one of the participating study centers, you can fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page. Someone from our study team will reach out to schedule your screening visit.

Will I need to pay anything?

You will not need to pay anything to participate in the study. The costs of study-specific testing are covered. If you have health insurance, clinical visits and bloodwork may be billed, so your usual co-pays may apply.

Where are the studies being conducted?

How will I know if I'm eligible?

Will I receive compensation?

You will receive a newsletter to keep you updated on study progress and insights!

Can I leave the study at any time?

Yes! Participation in the study is completely voluntary, and you can choose to discontinue participation at any time.

Can I participate if I don't want to take any medication?
